JAMB RAISES ALARM AS OVER 85,000 CANDIDATES ‘FAIL’ TO PRINT NOTIFICATION SLIPS FOR SATURDAY EXAM

Less than 24 hours before the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exam, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has expressed concern about the low number of candidates who have printed their exam notification slips.

The mop-up exam is set for Saturday, June 28, 2025; however, by Friday morning only 12,442 of the 98,232 registered candidates had printed their slips.

According to a statement from Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Public Communication Advisor for JAMB, there are still an astounding 85,790 candidates who have not completed the process.

The complete statement from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) highlights its concern over the low number of candidates who have printed their examination notification slips, necessary for attending the upcoming exam. As of this morning, only 12,442 out of 98,232 candidates have done so, representing just a 12.6% participation rate.

We highly recommend that all candidates, especially those who missed the main examination, promptly print their notification slips. This presents a unique opportunity for them to take part in this year’s exam.

The Board has set the 2025 UTME mop-up exam for Saturday, June 28th, 2025. We encourage all candidates who missed their earlier exams to reprint their slips to make sure they seize this opportunity.

The Board is closely overseeing the printing process to ascertain how many candidates will be present for the examination. In addition, we have allocated both human and material resources to support this effort, ensuring that all registered candidates can participate in the examination.

Be aware that not printing the examination notification slip will lead to losing the chance to take the exam.

We once again urge all candidates to promptly print their slips for the examination scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, June 28th, 2025.
