✍️ In 2024, mass failure wss recorded in JAMB as over 70% of JAMB candidates scored below 200 which is average score.
✍️ In 2025, 75.5% of JAMB candidates scored below average mark of 200. This is another mass failure. I pray it will not increase to over 80% failure by 2026. May God forbid. This is saddening, disgusting and disheartening to say the least. It calls for sober reflection among the concerned stakeholders.
✍️ Ironically, most of these students who failed woefully in JAMB will have credits and distinctions in WAEC and NECO. What is the magic behind it? It is simple, *PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATION MALPRACTICES.* I pray Allah facilitate CBT for WAEC and NECO too soon so as to know true pictures of these distracted students.
✍️ Nobody is ready to take the blame. But who is to blame for this mass failure? Are we ever ready to avert it? In my own perspective, all the concerned parties should be blamed for the mass failure though their contributions differ. They are as follows:
👉 The Government;
👉 The Parents;
👉 The Students;
👉 The Teachers;
👉 The Private School Owners;
👉 The Owners of Miracle Tutorial Centers;
👉 The Educational Inspectors at local and zonal Offices;
👉 The Ministry of Education in various states to mention but few.
✍️ How I wish I have time to write extensively on how each stakeholder contributed to this mass failure. I have given some explanations in the past on steps to be taken to avert mass failure in WAEC, NECO and JAMB. ✍️ But to be factual, bulk of the blame goes to the students who are distracted and fail to adequately prepare. They are addicted to social media, football, music, watching movies and obnoxious films, Yahoo, illicit sexual acts, bleaching, indecent dressing, bad haircuts among other evils. They hardly read and prepare extensively for external examinations. How will miracle happen? The earlier, the better.
✍️ All the concerned stakeholders should correct their own errors and put more efforts on how to drastically reduce mass failure in examinations.
