About PRIME Recreational Solutions
PRIME Recreational Solutions is a growing specialty contractor and project-delivery company serving developers, homebuilders, general contractors, municipalities, schools, communities, and other commercial clients throughout Florida and the Southeast.
We manage complete recreation and amenity scopes that can include playground equipment, shade structures, artificial turf and other safety surfacing, site amenities, shelters, and related specialty construction.
Our role goes well beyond selling equipment. We coordinate projects from concept and procurement through engineering, permitting, manufacturing, site readiness, installation, inspections, and final closeout. That means working closely with owners, general contractors, landscape architects, engineers, manufacturers, vendors, subcontractors, installers, and permitting authorities to bring each project together successfully.
PRIME is a lean, established company with successful commercial projects, repeat clients, long-standing industry relationships, and millions of dollars in project volume behind the business.
We are now building the internal project-management team required for our next stage of growth.
Position Summary
PRIME is seeking an Assistant Project Manager who will work directly with the President / Project Executive to help plan, coordinate, and execute commercial projects from award through final completion.
The Assistant Project Manager will support and progressively take ownership of project schedules, procurement, manufacturer coordination, engineering and permitting, documentation, client and contractor communication, field readiness, installation, cost and change tracking, inspections, and closeout.
This is not a passive administrative position.
We are looking for someone who is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable working with many moving pieces, and willing to take responsibility for keeping projects moving.
You are not expected to know every part of PRIME’s specialized project-delivery process on Day 1. We can teach you our manufacturers, industry, systems, and procedures.
What we need you to bring is initiative, organization, communication, follow-through, sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and the desire to grow into greater project-management responsibility.
What You Will Do
What Success Looks Like
A strong Assistant Project Manager at PRIME does more than update a task list.
Over time, you should be able to look at an assigned project and quickly answer:
Where does the project stand?
What needs to happen next?
Who is responsible for it?
When is it due?
What could affect the schedule or budget?
What do we need to do about it?
We do not expect you to walk in knowing all of the answers.
We do expect you to become increasingly capable of finding them without waiting for someone else to tell you what to do next.
What You Will Bring to PRIME
The strongest candidate will be someone who:
Education & Experience
Work Arrangement
This is a full-time hybrid position based in the Jacksonville, Florida area.
Much of the work will initially be performed from home, combined with local project-site visits and periodic in-person work sessions or meetings at flexible/co-working locations throughout Jacksonville.
Candidates should expect approximately 3–5 in-person office/team days per month initially , although in-person needs may evolve as PRIME continues to grow.
Work-from-home flexibility is intended to remain an ongoing part of this position.
Normal business operations are Monday through Friday. Reasonable flexibility may occasionally be required when an active project, delivery, inspection, or field condition requires attention outside normal hours, but this position is not intended to be routinely on call nights and weekends.
Most travel will consist of local Jacksonville-area project visits. Rare travel elsewhere in Florida or South Georgia may occasionally be required.
Because this position includes substantial work-from-home time, candidates must have reliable high-speed internet and an appropriate home workspace suitable for full-time professional work, phone calls, and video meetings.
PRIME will provide a company laptop, company cell phone, required company software, and mileage reimbursement for approved business travel.
Compensation & Benefits
$27.00–$32.00 per hour , based on relevant experience and qualifications.
At 40 hours per week, this represents approximately $56,000–$66,500 annually , with overtime paid when applicable.
Benefits include:
Why Join PRIME Now?
PRIME is at an important point in its growth.
You would not be joining an unproven startup trying to determine whether there is a market for what it does. The clients, projects, industry relationships, and operating foundation already exist.
We are now building the project-management organization that will support the company’s next stage.
For the right person, that creates an unusual career opportunity.
You will work directly with ownership, see projects from beginning to end, and gain hands-on exposure to project management, procurement, construction, engineering coordination, permitting, client relationships, financial project controls, field operations, and the systems behind a growing business.
Your ideas will be heard. Your performance will be visible. Strong employees will not have to wait for several layers of management to recognize what they are capable of doing.
As PRIME grows, so will the need for Project Managers and future project and operations leadership.
We cannot promise a specific promotion or timeline, but our goal is clear:
We want to hire someone who can develop from Assistant Project Manager into someone capable of independently managing PRIME projects.
If you are looking for a place where you can learn quickly, take real ownership, make a visible impact, and potentially grow your career alongside the company, we would like to hear from you.
