Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth & Suffolk, VA Part-Time | Flexible Schedule

$15.00-$16.00 an hour

Givens Talent is seeking reliable and energetic Event Servers to support catering events, corporate functions, weddings, banquets, and special events throughout the Southside Hampton Roads area.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want flexible part-time work with a variety of event opportunities.

What You'll Do

• Welcome and assist guests in a professional and friendly manner
• Set up banquet rooms, dining areas, buffets, and beverage stations
• Serve food and beverages during catered events
• Monitor guest needs and provide exceptional customer service
• Clear tables, collect dishes, and maintain event cleanliness
• Replenish food, beverages, utensils, and supplies as needed
• Assist with event breakdown and cleanup following service
• Work closely with event captains and team members to ensure successful events
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times

Qualifications

• Customer service, hospitality, restaurant, or event experience preferred
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Dependable transportation to various event locations throughout Hampton Roads
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Professional appearance and demeanor

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent bending, lifting, carrying, and reaching
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Comfortable working in fast-paced event environments
