About the Role:
A financial services team is seeking a Loan Officer Assistant to support the loan processing function from application through underwriting. This role focuses on ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant while coordinating closely with loan officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors to keep the lending process moving smoothly.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly responsible, and a strong communicator. They are comfortable handling sensitive financial information, managing multiple files at once, and taking ownership of their work in a structured, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review loan applications and verify all required documents are complete and accurate
• Communicate with applicants to collect missing information or clarification
• Conduct credit checks, background reviews, and verify employment and income
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and submit complete loan files to underwriting
• Track loan progress and follow up on pending applications
• Provide customer support and guide applicants through the loan process
• Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and appraisers
• Maintain accurate records and update loan tracking systems

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills and sense of responsibility
• Previous experience in loan processing, mortgage, banking, or related field preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
