About the Role:

Rude Boy Small Engine Repair LLC is looking for a skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our team in Simpson, NC! If you love getting your hands dirty, solving mechanical puzzles, and taking pride in quality repair work, this is the opportunity for you. Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines on equipment such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, generators, and trimmers
• Perform routine tune-ups, oil changes, carburetor cleaning, and preventive maintenance services
• Inspect and test equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues
• Order, source, and replace worn or damaged parts and components
• Communicate repair needs, timelines, and costs clearly with customers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Document service records and completed repairs accurately

Requirements:

• Prior experience in small engine repair or a related mechanical field
• Proficiency diagnosing and repairing 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines
• Familiarity with outdoor power equipment brands such as Husqvarna, Briggs & Stratton, Honda, and Stihl
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple repairs efficiently
• Must supply own basic hand tools
