Job Opportunity At Rx ReliefRx relief is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technicians to join a high-volume 503A compounding pharmacy near Plano, TX. Technicians will assist pharmacists in preparing sterile medications. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic, non-sterile compounding experience, and an interest in long-term pharmacy growth opportunities.Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepare sterile compounds and medications in a clean room environmentFollow USP 797 and 800 guidelines for sterile compoundingMaintain aseptic technique during all stages of preparationPerform calculations to ensure accurate measurement and mixing of ingredientsOperate and maintain specialized equipment such as laminar flow hoods and autoclavesDocument all compounding activities and maintain accurate recordsAssist in inventory management of medications and suppliesCollaborate with pharmacists to ensure quality and accuracy of compounded medicationsParticipate in quality assurance and quality control processesClean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensilsMonitor temperature and humidity in clean room and storage areasAssist in training new staff members on sterile compounding proceduresStay updated on current compounding regulations and best practicesCommunicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients as neededParticipate in continuous education and training programsAssist in managing hazardous drug handling and disposalContribute to the development and improvement of standard operating proceduresPerform routine maintenance and calibration of compounding equipmentAssist in preparing and packaging final products for dispensing or shippingRequirementsActive Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration (required)1+ year of pharmacy technician experience (sterile compounding)IV CertificationStrong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructionsHigh school diploma or GED requiredPreferred ExperiencePrevious 503A or compounding experienceBenefitsCompetitive hourly payHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off & sick leaveOpportunities for professional advancementJoin Rx relief today and be part of a team dedicated to excellence, safety, and patient care in the growing field of compounding pharmacy.
